Explore my original watercolour paintings, capturing the essence of the Canadian north country. Each piece is a unique expression of nature's beauty, reflecting my imagination and passion for the land.
I'm a retired watercolour artist located in Scarborough, Ontario. My love of the north goes back to my childhood and the time spent at a cottage in Muskoka Ontario. At that age I used to get excited as large rock cuts appeared along the highway as we approached our destination. The endless lakes and backwaters that we passed along the way provided endless opportunities to try to spot turtles, another special love of mine. I was always taken by the vistas that we observed. I paint my impressions of nature in the Canadian backcountry in my own unique style, hoping to imbue each one with inherent peacefulness of each locale.
